New Executive Vice President of International Ministries
Jason Gupta will begin his new role with the EFCA national office in August.
After several months of conversation, interviews and fervent prayer, we are pleased to welcome Jason Gupta as the next executive vice president of international ministries for the Evangelical Free Church of America. Jason will begin serving full-time in this role in mid-August.
Jason has a deep commitment to God’s mission, shaped through years of cross-cultural experience, research, teaching and leadership. He is passionate about investing his life in God’s work to redeem and restore the world through biblical fidelity, sound mission practices and trusted relationships.
Jason’s cross-cultural experiences began in India, where his parents served as global workers. After graduating from LeTourneau University in 1992 with a degree in electrical engineering, he joined Operation Mobilization, where he went on to lead advance teams to Jordan and India, and helped coordinate port-based outreach.
Jason later returned to the United States, where he met his wife, Kerri, in Colorado Springs. They married in 1998 and moved to Dallas, where Jason studied at Dallas Theological Seminary and served in pastoral ministry. In 2003, Jason completed his Master of Theology, and he and Kerri joined WorldVenture as missionaries.
In 2005, Jason and Kerri moved to Kyiv, Ukraine, where they served for 17 years. Their ministry focused on equipping and sending national leaders to serve as missionaries throughout former Soviet countries and beyond. During this time, Jason served in local church ministry, as a field leader and as part of WorldVenture’s Europe MENA leadership team. He also taught and directed the World Mission Program at Kyiv Theological Seminary and served on the seminary’s executive team. Jason and Kerri raised their two daughters in Ukraine before leaving in 2022 as the Russo-Ukrainian War began.
Jason completed his PhD at Biola University’s Cook School of Intercultural Studies in 2022. He and Kerri then began serving as global directors of the Americas for WorldVenture, providing leadership, care and strategic direction for personnel and ministries across 10 countries in North, Central and South America.
Before he begins serving full-time, Jason will attend various ReachGlobal meetings and conferences during the next several months. He will continue to reside in Colorado, though he will spend about half of his working hours at the EFCA national office.
Join us in praying for Jason and Kerri as they enter this new role and strive to finish well in their current ministry. In this new season, we are hopeful and eager to see ReachGlobal build momentum toward the fulfillment of its mission.
Pray also for EFCA churches. Our movement is committed to the Great Commission, and we pray this is a season where deepening ReachGlobal's partnerships with local churches will help us invest in disciplemakers to establish the Church where the gospel isn’t known.
