Pakistan Flood Response

ReachGlobal Crisis Response is mobilizing to address the historic flooding in Pakistan. According to satellite images, nearly one-third of the country is underwater.

Monsoon season usually brings heavy rain to the South Asian country, but this year is the most severe on record. The increased rainfall led the Indus River, which runs through the country to the Indian Ocean, to overflow.

The effects are devastating. Millions were already facing food shortages, and now acres of crops have been destroyed, contributing to the crisis.
