On June 5, 2022, churches around the EFCA will pray for new churches, new church planters and the support of Sending and Partnering Churches.
As a movement, we are united by a shared set of theological convictions and the following mission statement:
The EFCA exists to glorify God by multiplying transformational churches among all people.
Our mission drives us to a key outcome: the multiplication of churches. In the last 20 years, 651 churches were planted through the EFCA. Why does this matter? We believe the most effective strategy for spreading the gospel and reaching all people is through planting new churches.
Church Multiplication Sunday
June 5 is Pentecost Sunday. Traditionally, Pentecost Sunday commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church in Acts 2. This year, as we look back at the history of the Church and initial spread of the gospel, we also look to our future: a future of more churches across the country, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who don't know Him. That's why we're calling on you to share about the importance of church planting on June 5—Church Multiplication Sunday.
How to Get Involved
Church multiplication is critically important. Can your church give us five minutes on Pentecost Sunday to talk about church planting? Here is an easy way to bring your church into partnership with the EFCA on Church Multiplication Sunday.
