On May 21, 2023, churches around the EFCA will pray for new churches, new church planters and the support of Sending and Partnering Churches.

As a movement, we are united by a shared set of theological convictions and the following mission statement:

The EFCA exists to glorify God by multiplying transformational churches among all people.

Our mission drives us to a key outcome: the multiplication of churches. In the last 20 years, 651 churches were planted through the EFCA. Why does this matter? We believe the most effective strategy for spreading the gospel and reaching all people is through planting new churches.

Church Multiplication Sunday

This year, as we look to the future, a future with more churches across the country, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who don't know Him, we're calling on you to share about the importance of church planting on May 21—Church Multiplication Sunday.
