People everywhere are clamoring to learn English. The ability to communicate in English enhances opportunities for personal advancement around the globe. As the international language for higher education, diplomacy, science, medicine, communications, business, aviation, entertainment and radio, English is the most popular foreign language to learn.
The rise of English as a global language is opening countless doors for the gospel. English classes provide strategic contacts for local churches or workers both internationally and in the United States. Overseas, short-term North American teams can teach English, and long-term field staff remain to follow up with students of all ages when those teams return home. Missionaries can tutor or hold English classes to reach out to their communities. Stateside English classes provide relationships with immigrants and international students that can lead to opportunities to share hope in Christ.
EFCA ReachGlobal provides training, curriculum and resources for those who are teaching English in ministry, whether in North America or in an international setting.
ReachGlobal offers two ESL online training courses to equip individuals and teams teaching English in ministry contexts.
These are offered free of charge to ReachGlobal staff and Evangelical Free Churches.
