About the EFCA Southeast District
The EFCA Southeast District represents nine states, 63 million people, numbers of growing cultural population groups and currently has 65 churches and 34 new church starts in process. The opportunities for new church starts are endless and we are growing in the number of contacts desiring a new EFCA disciplemaking church.
If you wish to see if there is an opening in an established ministry, please contact Glen Schrieber at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Church Planting Philosophy
Our district’s definition of church is a disciplemaking faith community that is reproducing new church communities. We are looking for new disciplemaking churches to reproduce new churches.
Each of our church planters is offered assessments, boot camp training on practical skills to start a church, ongoing coaching, pastoral care and network mentoring. Contact us for more specifics.
1. This community is a growing bedroom community for Tampa, Fla. There are new stores, shopping malls and new schools. There is a military base nearby where a number of families work as civilians so the economy is stabilized. The city of Brandon has 61,000 people, growing by another 9,000 people by 2015. This community has access to airports, good schools and new growth. Right now, there is a couple interested in seeing a new church start. This a terrific multiethnic opportunity.
2. We have had a pastor express the need for a new church start in this area. Apparently not only are there a number of new people arriving, but the Hertz company is opening an office in the next couple of years hiring or bringing 1,000 employees to the area. There are churches in Fort Myers and Naples who might be an encouragement.
Pray and consider joining us investing in these church planters starting new churches. It is exciting to see all that is developing. Come and join us!
