Administrative Assistant

The EFCA national office is seeking two full-time Administrative Assistants to serve on the IMA Operations/Personnel Team by providing administrative support for the various functions and processes and directors on this team. This team exists to come alongside IMA staff and leaders and to serve them well.

Start Date: February 1, 2019
Hours Per Week: 40

  • Primary point of contact for EFCA ReachGlobal at the National Office, including triage of calls and emails, managing the ReachGlobal calendar, and responding to calls and emails from churches, missionaries, and their supporters
  • Provide support for IMA Operations/Personnel and EFCA ReachGlobal staff, including sending transition letters, preparing and notarizing visa/travel letters, mailing resources, and other duties as assigned
  • Serve as record-keeping point of contact for EFCA ReachGlobal, including management of Raiser’s Edge database, missionary records, communication relationships with other EFCA departments, updating operating procedures, management of contact lists, etc.
  • Utilize Cvent and other resources to automate and systematize information gathering and dissemination
  • Contribute and publish to Yammer and share to ReachGlobal Connections Assembly group
  • Cross-train and cover for other functions on the Personnel Administrative team as needed

Skills and Education Requirements

  • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of the EFCA.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of administrative assistant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required, experience with Raiser’s Edge software preferred
  • Experience with Cvent or other online event planning and management software preferred
  • Accurate keyboarding skills of at least 50 wpm
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
  • Discretion while working with sensitive or confidential information
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and capacity to learn
  • Strong database and technology skills
  • Ability to spend more than 90% of work time seated, using a keyboard and looking at a computer screen
