Greg Strand is EFCA executive director of theology and credentialing, and he serves on the Board of Ministerial Standing as well as the Spiritual Heritage Committee. He and his family are members of Northfield (Minnesota) EFC.
We now have an Audiobook version of "Evangelical Convictions: A Theological Exposition of the Statement of Faith of the Evangelical Free Church of America." A number of people from the EFCA graciously agreed to read a chapter in the book and record it, which allowed us to compile and make available this audiobook. This means we now have an additional resource and another way to encourage people to ingest the content of our EFCA Statement of Faith through our “theological exposition” by listening to the reading of "Evangelical Convictions."
The EFCA One 2019 Conference approved the motion to amend Article 9 of our 2008 Statement of Faith, by removing the term “premillennial” and including the term “glorious,” which means we now have a 2019 EFCA Statement of Faith. Because of this Conference-approved change, the audio version of Article 9, Christ’s Return, is not included. The Spiritual Heritage Committee is in process of revising not only Article 9 in "Evangelical Convictions," but also the whole book. There are a number of updates and additions planned for the book that will, Lord willing, continue to make this an invaluable resource for the EFCA.
Download the chapters and listen as you commute, as you walk, or as you workout. We are thankful to have completed this project and provide this new resource. What would make us even more grateful is if it is used by many.
