Samaritan Way

To reverse division, multiplying Kingdom growth

The Reconciliation ministry of the EFCA

Understand differences and look to unravel prejudices and stereotypes while seeking what we all have in common…our brokenness and need for Jesus Christ. The first step of the church in a deeply broken world is not strategy, but prayer. If this is your passion, sign up to receive the prayer letter of Samaritan Way at samaritanway@efca.org.

From Conversation to Action

Growing in my heart and in the hearts of our people has been a desire to reach our city.  Not just the people of the city that are like us, but ALL of our city, including those who are different in socio-economics, ethnicities, backgrounds, and outlook.  But how would we start?  That's where a Good Samaritan Retreat, a gathering of Samaritan Way, helped jump start our journey.

Samaritan Way Video

About this video:

What would a place look like if people responded to each other purely based upon their love for Christ, not their gender, age, social class, race or ethnic background?

A place where a stranger from another country would find a neighbor who cared?

Would you live there?

Where a family stuck in poverty would find a hand up instead of a hand out?

Would would a place look like that allowed us to park our own brokenness next to others who are hurt, lost, outcast and misunderstood?

What if that place was the church…your church?

Understand differences and look to unravel prejudices and stereotypes while seeking what we all have in common…our brokenness and need for Jesus Christ. Through Him we grow and prosper as a community of people who care and love relentlessly…and unconditionally.

Reconciliation is a gift from God and it’s our job to accept it. Each one of us has a role to play. Together, the EFCA can become a network of churches that reverse division and multiply Kingdom growth.
