Instead of discussing who is right, the discussion seems to be around what is right. This excites me because the "what is right" conversation is the one that Paul had with the Galatians, and represents a huge shift in Christian political thinking.
Growing in my heart and in the hearts of our people has been a desire to reach our city. Not just the people of the city that are like us, but ALL of our city, including those who are different in socio-economics, ethnicities, backgrounds, and outlook. But how would we start? That's where a Good Samaritan Retreat, a gathering of Samaritan Way, helped jump start our journey.

What would a place look like if people responded to each other purely based upon their love for Christ, not their gender, age, social class, race or ethnic background?
A place where a stranger from another country would find a neighbor who cared?
Would you live there?
Where a family stuck in poverty would find a hand up instead of a hand out?
Would would a place look like that allowed us to park our own brokenness next to others who are hurt, lost, outcast and misunderstood?
What if that place was the church…your church?

Reconciliation is a gift from God and it’s our job to accept it. Each one of us has a role to play. Together, the EFCA can become a network of churches that reverse division and multiply Kingdom growth.
