Ben Johnson, Immigrant Hope Assistant Coordinator
Ben approached Dr. Alejandro Mandes last year when he heard about the EFCA’s desire to share the gospel with those who are a forgotten people in America.
A 2010 graduate of Wheaton College, Ben married Sarah Andersen in May. Ben worked with the disadvantaged on a mission trip to Russia and while living overseas in Kenya and Brazil. Sarah has the same commitment to forgotten people as demonstrated by her mission work in Albania serving in areas of poverty.
In Ben’s role with Immigrant Hope he wants to live out the 3-part mission: to provide immigrants with the HOPE of the gospel, HELP in finding a pathway to legal residency, and a HOME in a church that cares for their needs.
