About EFCA Faith Community Nurse Network



Compassionately supporting their congregations through their volunteer or paid staff status, these registered nurses accompany church family members to weighty doctor’s appointments, pray with families during serious surgery situations; translate confusing medical terms for elderly church members, host health clinics reaching into the community surrounding their churches, supporting their pastors, church leaders and members in a host of diverse situations.




The EFCA Faith Community Nurse Network (EFCA FCNN) connects nurses to other EFCA church nurse volunteers and staff to share resources, news, ideas, how to’s for the various situations in which they serve.




EFCA Faith Community Nurses:



    

  • Visit members in homes or hospitals
    • 

  • Counsel members on health-related issues
    • 

  • Assist in obtaining needed health services
    • 

  • Help members understand the relationship between body, mind and spirit Assist in adapting important lifestyle changes
    • 

  • Teach classes on how to maintain good health
    • 

  • Provide health screenings
    • 

  • Develop support groups within the church
    • 

  • Coordinate congregational volunteers
    •
