With much joy and satisfaction I’d like to share with you that our retreat was a blessing.

We could see men touched by the Word of God and challenged to live differently. God protected and help us. I’d like share this summary with you:

  1. We praised the Lord in a precious climate that permitted us to do all our activities outdoors and walk to the different places where we met together. It rained until we returned to the city.
  2. Three men passed to the front to renew their vows to the Lord and publically committed to be better husbands and fathers.
  3. We had excellent times of companionship and diversion, good dramas and a great joining together of everyone and everything, even with the new people involved. Within us there was a man in a wheelchair that integrated naturally into the group. The other men carried him and his chair at the camp.
  4. We praise God for Gerver and Ramiro who, upon return to the church, testified publicly to have been touched by the Lord. They asked publically for forgiveness from their wives for having failed in their roles as leaders and committed themselves to work on this. Last night I had dinner with Gerver and he shared with me in detail how God had been working in his life for a number of weeks and how he had resisted.
  5. We praise God for having used our speaker with power. He did an excellent work!
  6. Finally I praise the Lord for those of you who supported us in prayer. We have never had so many people praying for a retreat. We can confirm, one more time, the value of prayer in the work of God. Thank you very much for not abandoning us this last weekend that was so crucial for our church.

Nueva Vida First EFC RetreatA final note: This Sunday, while Gerver gave his testimony in the service, a man that was visiting our church for the first time happened to be an old friend of Gervers. After hearing his testimony they greeted each other and surprised he said: “Listen, you have impacted me with all that you have said, I never thought that I would see you like this.” This unconverted man savored part of the results of our retreat. To God be the glory brothers and sisters!!
