  • Strategic — They are commanded by God (Deuteronomy 6: 6-7), essential to the health of the church, and focused on the age when most people turn to Christ.

  • Intentional — They must receive excellent planning and resources. (1 Corinthians 14:40)
    • 

  • Integrated — They partner with families, other church ministries, other churches and the EFCA.
    • 



Children’s Ministers are… 


    

  • Parents/guardians, who are the primary children’s ministers (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).
    • 

  • Volunteers, who do the church ministry.
    • 

  • Professionals, who lead, equip and support the volunteers as well as the parents/guardians.
