BUMP - Bridging Urban Mission Project - a week-long urban mission experience for junior and senior high students, is a ministry of ReachStudents, mobilizing student ministry teams to serve in urban centers throughout the U.S. For nearly 20 years, BUMP has partnered hundreds of EFCA students with EFCA churches in cities across the country including Twin Cities, St. Louis, New York and LA. Â

BUMP energizes urban EFCA churches and provides a workforce for their summer outreach ministries; including prayer walking, block parties, VBS, sports camps, community projects and more.  Students come for a week of service working alongside a local urban congregation and return home equipped to impact their own community.  Student ministry teams will receive:

  • Cross-cultural ministry experience and "hands-on" urban ministry training.
  • Leadership development opportunities.
  • A transformed worldview - an understanding of God’s heart for the poor and often-forgotten.

The cost of BUMP is just $350 per participant which covers all on-site costs, including meals, ministry supplies and housing.  A $75 transferable, non-refundable deposit is due upon registration with the balance due one month prior to arrival.
