The New Ethnic Mix of Missions

Today’s large French cities are a microcosm of the world. In Toulouse, the diversity of people creates openness to new ideas and an interest in people all around the world. The Lord is raising up an international team in Toulouse to reach this multiethnic city. Toulousians are fascinated to see unity within the diversity of the body of Christ. For them to see Americans, French, Germans, Latin Americans, Chinese, Mexicans and others together, worshipping the same God, is a powerful witness to the residents of our city.

Leonor was first introduced to us by a friend from a sponsoring church in Toulouse. A musically and evangelistically gifted university student from Colombia, Leonor routinely brings new people into our ministry network, many of whom are not yet believers. Recently, Leonor shared with us, "I always thought I would go back to Colombia, but now I think the Lord might be calling me to serve as a missionary in France."

The Lord is opening doors in France, while softening the hearts of a people known for their ardent skepticism.  Our experiences with "non-French" believers have shown us that the world of missions is changing—all peoples mobilized to reach the world!
