Developing Partnerships: The Kairos Project
EFCA district partnership for global ministry
The Kairos moment
The time is now. The uncertainties of current events are driving many churches to turn their focus inward. One EFCA district is resisting the temptation, and instead is becoming even more prayerfully and actively engaged in God’s mission in Southeast Asia.
The Kairos partnership
By working strategically together in Southeast Asia with ReachGlobal Asia, the district is fruitfully ministering in ways that none of the churches could handle alone.
The Kairos vision
The district churches partner together to develop, empower, and release local church planting movements. In order to accomplish the task, the district mobilizes its churches to contribute ideas, people, resources and prayer support to the opportunities they pursue. This EFCA district is joining God in what He’s already doing!
The district commitment
- Send leaders to train church planters and pastors with little access to biblical education.
- Send short-term teams to teach English, helping new churches make connections with unbelievers in their communities.
- Send workers to assist in relief work and prison ministry, helping to build new Christian communities in areas where the gospel has not yet been consistently proclaimed.
- Financially support local ministries that are reproducing churches in the target nations.
Other Kairos moments
There are a number of windows opening in the near future for individual churches and other EFCA districts to participate in partnerships. Contact: asia@efca.org
Praise and pray
- Pray that more EFCA Districts will form similar partnerships with EFCA ReachGlobal.
-
Praise God that these EFCA District churches vision to accomplish more together than anyone of them can accomplish alone.
