Philippine Story: The Habal-Habal Challenge
Creatively sharing the gospel
To create goodwill in the community and to share the message of God’s love, the Habal-Habal (a local term for motorcycle-taxis) Challenge was hosted by an Evangelical Free Church in Cebu City in cooperation with the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines and ReachGlobal staff.
The local Cebu newspaper, The Sun Star, picked up an article written by one of our staff members and ran it (a revised edition) on a prominent page in the newspaper. Thus, the message of God’s love was spread to the whole city of Cebu!
Praise and pray
- Praise God for how this creative way of sharing the message of God’s love spread beyond what the Cebu EFC dreamed.
- Pray that ReachGlobal staff will continue to guide students at the EFC of the Philippines to find creative ways to share the gospel in the community.
