In JapanOutreach-women baking—HE did it all!

Sometimes ReachGlobal staff works so hard in Japan and sees so little happen, and then someone just walks through the door and says, "Show me how to get started." Either way, it’s all about the Holy Spirit drawing people to Jesus.

All ReachGlobal staff had to do was be there. Here’s what happened:

One day at the Meinohama Christian Center an e-mail came in from Junko saying that she wanted to "join the church and become a Christian."

A friend of hers in the United States (Junko had lived in the States for several years during high school, college, and her early working career.) found the Meinohoma Christian Center’s website and introduced Junko to it. The friend in the U.S. has been encouraging her to become a Christian for a long time, but she was not ready before.

When she met ReachGlobal staff, Junko didn’t seem to quite understand the gospel. She thought it meant "being a good person." But one of the ReachGlobal staff explained the gospel clearly to her. At that point, she said she wanted to become a Christian. She is now attending the evening English service held at the Center and being discipled by ReachGlobal staff.

Stories like this serve to remind us that it is all His doing. God brought to the Meinohama Christian Center someone who was ready to become a Christian.

Praise and Pray

  • Praise for the life of this new believer in Japan where less than 1% acknowledge Jesus as Savior.
  • Pray for the Spirit of God to create faith in the lives of the Japanese.
