The Nitty Gritty in Naga
Living. Modeling. Ministering.
How do you live, model and minister to the whole person? Raising rabbits as a food source and growing container gardens (produce in pop bottles for those with no land!) are two ways that ReachGlobal staff and a local EFC of the Philippines church are reaching out to make a difference.
Ministering holistically involves the nitty gritty in Naga, Philippines! On Sunday, 100-150 children and moms are being ministered to through a Sunday school held on the grounds of a muddy outdoor auto mechanic shop.
A study tutorial center now reaches out into the community as a means of developing relationships, providing valuable training resources to the community, and sharing the gospel. Ways to reach the men of the community are a present focus of ReachGlobal staff and the local church as they strategize for future ministry.
The goal is to start a reproducing church plant as an outgrowth of the growing Sunday school ministry that will result in the multiplication of healthy Filipino churches.

Praise and pray
- Praise God for ReachGlobal staff that live out of their comfort zone to live among the poor in the Philippines.
- Praise God for the outreach vision of the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines with whom ReachGlobal works.
- Pray for the rural Cebuanos who live south of Cebu City. They are impoverished and disenfranchised people living day-to-day off a variety of simple crops.
- Pray for the community to catch on to the idea of raising rabbits for food and planting container gardens for produce.
- Pray for new ways to reach the men of the community.
- Pray that the study tutorial center will become a pivotal piece in reaching the surrounding community with the gospel.
