Katrina Update 2008

  

In 2005, parts of Louisiana and Mississippi were devastated by hurricane Katrina. TouchGlobal actively responded and still continues to have ongoing ministry in this region. Although much has been accomplished, much still needs to be done. You can help. The TouchGlobal team continues to host short-term teams to help restore the homes and communities impacted by this storm.

Rebuilding Lives

Philippines Typhoon

  

Heavy flooding from Typhoon Ketsana severely impacted 17 EFC of the Philippines churches in the Manila area. Torrential rains and intense flooding extended to 25 provinces covering about 80% of Manila. Affecting 1.9 million people, storm scenes are reminiscent of Hurricane Katrina.

GlobalFingerprints Video- The Opportunity Equation

  

In 2006, GlobalFingerprints began with 250 sponsored children. The program is 5X bigger.  As of Summer 2011, over 1,300 GlobalFingerprints children in the D.R. Congo and Kolkata, India are learning what it is to have a dream—to have hope.  Wikobina (Congo) says, “I want to be a teacher,” and Ratna (India) says, “Thank you for your sacrifice. I can now go to school.”




The EFCA is partnering with the national church who are helping the children in their communities. 1,500 more are waiting to be sponsored. $25 a month from a sponsor gives these kids an education, nutrition, healthcare … and hope. GlobalFingerprints Video- Every Drop Counts VBS Project

  

GlobalFingeprints "Every Drop Counts" will supply water filtration systems to the poorest of the poor: children in Haiti and Kolkata, India. We hope to provide hundreds, even thousands, of children in Haiti and India with clean, safe water through the offerings of children in VBS programs around the country. When it comes to providing life-giving water for the kids… every dollar, every nickel, every penny counts!

Every Drop Counts: First Well Drilled in India

  

Children across the U.S. have raised over $47,000. to provide clean water for children in India and Haiti with the 2011 VBS Project Every Drop Counts. God is so good!


A well drilled for an entire community costs about $3,000. in India ($6,000 in Haiti) and serves 6,000-8,000 people.  For every $10 given to Every Drop Counts, provides clean water for 25 people, $100 for 250 people.  Every nickle, every penny, Every Drop Counts!
