Pray

JIHwater systemAs you pray for Haiti on a broad scale, join with the EFCA in praying for specific needs.

Current requests

Please pray…

  • For TouchGlobal to make spiritual connections that bless people and encourage their commitment to Christ.
  • Pray for Maxo, a godly man with a vision.
  • For the new president in Haiti, former pop star, Michel Martelly, who has taken the oath of office to run this devastated Caribbean nation.
  • For missionaries from Congo, Brazil and Colombia who will be partnering with ReachGlobal.
  • For church teams to respond to the need to help rebuild Haiti.
  • For the durability of the TouchGlobal vehicles — due to poor road conditions, all of the vehicles have broken down at least once in the past few months.
  • For the completion of the second floor of the base camp in Gressier, Haiti.

Ongoing needs

Please pray…

  • For TouchGlobal as they continue to host teams, build relationships, and establish long-term recovery strategy.
  • For donations for the long-term recovery and rebuilding process, including bulk donations and large vehicles and machinery.
  • For God to raise up short-term teams and long-term staff to serve in Haiti.
  • For French-speakers to serve on teams and assist with building relationships in the local communities.
  • For overall safety during the rainy season when the rain and the winds hit already compromised structures.
  • For the Haitian people to continue to come to Christ and turn away from Voodoo.

Answered prayers

Thank you for your prayers for the Haitian people and the ministry of TouchGlobal. The team has continually experienced the power of prayer as God faithfully responds to requests and provides for needs. In addition to continuing in prayer, please praise God for answered prayers, including these:

  • In early May, after being detained in customs for over a month, an important ministry vehicle packed with much-needed supplies was finally released from customs in Cap Haitian. However, shortly thereafter, it broke down and had to remain in Cap Haitian for the time being — please pray that it will be fixed and will safely travel to Port au Prince in the near future.
  • The Lord continues to raise up volunteers in Haiti. By bringing great attitudes, strong desires to serve the Lord and the Haitian people, and just-the-right skills for the time/project, these volunteers have been a continual blessing to the TouchGlobal staff as well as the Haitian community.
