Praising God and thanking you!

Your help made a difference in Japan! After the initial crisis response, a newly-formed team is focusing on the area devastated by the earthquake. There is no recorded evidence that a Christian has ever lived in this particular part of Japan…until now.

SituationJapan - Takayama

A major earthquake struck northern Japan, including Tokyo, on March 11, 2011, with a magnitude of 9.0 on the Richter scale. A significant tsunami was generated as a result, causing further damage along the coast. Also, as a result of the disaster, there is a potentially devastating nuclear crisis due to unstable reactors near Japan’s coast. Death tolls are feared to be nearing 30,000 people. Help TouchGlobal reach out to the Japanese people. Review TouchGlobal’s ongoing response to the crisis below and the opportunity to get involved in changing lives for Christ. Learn

Before the earthquake struck, ReachGlobal had been working in Japan for 60 years and a nationwide Evangelical Free Church body had been established. New initiatives in Japan included coffee house ministries, friendship centers and community centers. Cooking classes, photography classes, English classes and golf outings were used to make contacts, develop friendships and share the gospel. Now the church is reaching out to those who have lost everything. Watch a video about the clean-up effort.
