Pennsylvanians Sending Help To Chile!
God is moving among the churches in Pennsylvania (PA) to make a difference in the earthquake- and tsunami-damaged areas of Chile. TouchGlobal is partnering with local PA churches as they respond to suffering Chileans by:
- Upgrading the government-provided homes — sealing cracks, insulating, providing basic electrical hook-ups, and adding extra rooms, according to need.
- Constructing new homes for those who have not yet received government housing.
- Purchasing and installing wood stoves for heating and cooking.
God is moving in the wake of crisis.
On an exploratory trip to Chile, the TouchGlobal team found thousands of forgotten people living in Displaced Peoples
(DP) camps. As a short-term team winterized several small wooden shlters, they were able to share the gospel with many, and according to Pastor Randy, "The best part of the trip was when Paula, a leader in the DP camp, and another lady placed their faith in Jesus Christ. Five teenagers also accepted Christ on the same day." Paula is pictured with her son.
Plans for community outreach activities, such as Vacation Bible School, sports camps, and week-long training seminars, are also in the works. The long-term goal is to plant churches in Chile where none currently exist. A parcel of land has already been promised to the EFCA for a future church.
Your church can help with this relief work, too. Join the Pennsylvania churches in their outreach efforts!
Donate financially to this church-planting initiative.
