Dave Update - It's Finished!

New DaveLast year, Dave, a man with a story of incredible discouragement, was hesitant to trust anyone. Although tired and wary, he was still holding onto his last bit of hope — that one day his family would return to their home.

In late July, nearly six years after Hurricane Katrina destroyed his house, his dream came true. Dave and his family have once again moved back into their own home.

In order to show his appreciation for all that the TouchGlobal ministry had done to help, Dave threw one of the biggest seafood boils the team had ever seen. He served them shrimp, crawfish, and crab, and then everyone sat back and just enjoyed one another’s company. It was a great night of celebrating what God had done in and for this family.

Dave concluded the night by telling each person, “You are always welcome here. Anytime you are in town, just drop by.”

  • Pray for this relationship and the relationships with the other 5,400 families whose lives have been intertwined with responders ministering in the wake of the largest crisis in the U.S.
  • Pray for returning teams to continue to build relationships with eternal consequences.
  • Pray for new teams coming to New Orleans to focus on relational ministry as well as helping with rebuilding homes.
