Justice Initiatives: Baby Girl
"
Let the little children come to me…" — Jesus
When I walked along that bridge
Above muddy waters slow
Your dirty face looked up at me
With wide eyes aglow.
Who is that man beside you,
Who seems so cunning and rehearsed?
Is he your father, your uncle, your owner,
Or worse?
Does he love you? Feed you?
Hold you when you are afraid?
Or are you merely a means of sympathy
He exploits in his beggar’s trade?
Does he abuse you in the darkness-
My little black-eyed friend?
Hiding, bawling, bleeding, pleading
Resignation in the end.
The Creator Knows!
The Sovereign Father sees!
He continually hears
Your baby girl pleas!
And I, as I walk past you
Over muddy waters slow,
For you, for YOU, dear child,
My pleas upward go!

Pray:
- Praise God that the world is becoming more aware of child prostitution.
- Pray that more lawyers, movie-makers and government officials will rise up to address child prostitution and bring an end to it.
