Learning Opportunities

Life and ministry are complex because they involve people. To be most effective in this complexity, we must keep on learning, growing, and developing. EFCA EQUIP can help you do just that. We provide a variety of live and online training opportunities to our ReachGlobal personnel, and churches. Join us!

Online courses

The following are just some of the courses available to you. To view a complete list, along with scheduling and registration information, visit our course calendar at www.efca.org/equip/calendar.

Live learning

In conjunction with our online courses, EFCA EQUIP offers live training for missionaries. For more information about these events and how you can participate, please contact equip@efca.org.

Pre-field Training Live

ReachGlobal Pre-field Training Live (PT Live) is an eight-day experience that includes training in cross-cultural ministry, living cross-culturally, team ministry, spiritual warfare and other pre-departure topics. This event can only be attended within six months of departing to the field as a missionary and when 75% of total support has been raised/committed. There will be learning activities and programming for children of all ages at this event.

PT Live is the culmination of a total pre-field training process that consists of two parts: PT Online and PT Live. PT Online is made up of three, 16-hour online facilitated collaborative courses that introduce the basic learning topics of PT Live with reading, media, activities, and interaction.

Cross-cultural Church Planting School

Cross-cultural Church Planting School (CCPS) is a five-day event for all ReachGlobal missionaries who will be involved in any aspect of church planting. Church planting experts provide training in various church planting topics such as:

  • women in church planting
  • church planting in creative access areas
  • biblical models of church planting

In addition to the general CCPS training, there is also a special coaching track that can be taken along with CCPS. The focus is on developing skills to coach others (missionaries and/or nationals), and is especially geared toward church planters.

The facilitators have significant coaching experience within their ministries of ReachGlobal and the EFCA. Although this new track is optional it is strongly encouraged that all those who will mentor, coach or supervise others attend this clinic at least once in their careers while on home assignment. It will greatly enhance your ministry and leadership skills!
