Youth Hostel Project

WANTED: church or ministry teams to assist with outreach in a far-away location.
Help build permanent buildings for a hill tribe children/orphans’ home. Other projects and needs are to develop:
- a well for water
- a ground water holding pond and fish farm
- a rain water reclamation system
- lumyai orchard improvements
- agriculture and irrigation
- agroforest planting
- training in raising animals for increased financial self sustainability
- community outreach
- children’s Bible teaching and activities
The residence provides a nurturing Christian home for hill tribe orphans and children from remote mountain villages, giving them the opportunity to receive an education by attending national schools nearby.
The temporary bamboo structures initially housed sixteen children and a care-giving couple. As permanent buildings are completed, the facilities will grow to house forty children, a care-giving couple, a houseparent assistant and a farming couple. The campus will include two dorms, a staff house, a kitchen/dining room/study center, and a chapel.
Teams can stay ten days or longer.
