The Power of Prayer

About this video:

The youth of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey in Pennsylvania traveled south to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. “It was amazing because I’ve seen pictures and stuff like that, but it wasn’t anything like what I thought it would be,” one team member says. Much to their surprise, there was still a lot of cleaning up to do.

During their trip, the team befriended a man named Craig. Craig was a funny man who was nice to talk to and noticeably strong in his faith. The team invited Craig to come to dinner with them, but Craig declined the invitation. His business was struggling and he felt an obligation to work in his shop. However, Craig asked for prayers. Not only did the team pray for him, but later that evening the team had an entire church praying for him.

The next day, two of the guys on the team went back to Craig’s shop. “You guys will never believe this,” Craig said. “I usually make $400 to $500 every night, but tonight, I made over $1,000 just because of your prayers and your thoughts.”

To many on the team, Craig was a highlight to the trip. They were able to witness the power of prayer firsthand.
