Chile Earthquake Response

In February 2010, an 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck just off the coast of Chile. EFCA churches in Pennsylvania, have formed a partnership with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) to provide disaster relief in the name of Christ.

In the port city of Talcahuano, for example, the infrastructure was severely damaged and many homes were destroyed; families were forced to evacuate to the hills. Relief efforts will include constructing pre-fabricated homes in Santiago, Chile, and then delivering them to families in affected areas. There will be opportunities for evangelism and other holistic ministries as well.

Join El Faro and Vida Nueva (in conjunction with YWAM) in Santiago to reach the Chilean people and provide hope in the midst of disaster relief. Ideally, teams of 10-15 people, including 2-3 members with prior construction knowledge will serve in Chile for at least a week.
