Community Health Evangelism- Book Course

Community Health Evangelism (CHE) is used in more than 80 countries, helping villages and neighborhoods be empowered to solve problems while planting the church in the community. Multiplying Light and Truth through Community Health Evangelism, by Stan Rowland, was the pioneering document for the CHE movement. The online Multiplying Light and Truth book course from EFCA EQUIP is a unique opportunity for you to learn directly from the author and pioneer of this significant strategy. The course will take place March 17 through April 20. Register today! Visit www.efca.org/equip/calendar or contact us at equip@fca.org for more information.

Do Something! - Challenge Conference Project

UNDO Illiteracy.   UNDO Hunger.   UNDO Hopelessness.

Challenge and ReachStudents have partnered with GlobalFingerprints to make a difference in the lives of orphans.

At the Challenge conference, students will participate in the Red Backpack Project constructing 5,000 red backpacks and praying over each one before they are shipped to the Congo and a new field in India.

To help accomplish this project, we are asking district student conferences and individual youth ministries to raise $50,000 to cover expenses for the backpacks (supplies and shipping).

Will you help?  For more information, see http://www.challengeconference.com.

Can You Sew?

Needed: sewing volunteers for a missions trip to Columbus, OH
June 28 - July 3

The EFCA is looking for sewing experts/volunteers to be part of the GlobalFingerprints Red Backpack Project at Challenge 10, the EFCA student conference for 7-12th graders.

The mission is to help students at the conference make 5,000 backpacks. The end result of this amazing project is that children in the GlobalFingerprints program in Congo, India and Haiti will be blessed!

Experience the joy of serving and the excitement of attending all the Challenge conference events! If you or a group from your church are interested in volunteering, contact gloria.vandenbosch@efca.org.  Go online to learn more about the GlobalFingerprints sponsorship program and the Challenge 10 conference.

Challenge Volunteers Needed

Do you have a heart for students? The Challenge youth conference can use your help. It takes hundreds of volunteers to make Challenge happen. We need medical staff (doctors, nurses), housing and security personnel, recreation staff and other roles as well. More information and an application form are available online.

Singles in the EFCA

If you have sharp, single men and women serving in your church, EFCA Today magazine wants to connect with them. Please share this message and tell them we want to know:

  • How have you seen God work blessing from your life into those around you, in ways that would not be possible were you not single?
  • What's it like to be single in the couples-dominated world of the local church?
  • What would you like other leaders and pastors to know about life and ministry as a single?

Respond to the editor at dianemc@journeygroup.com by Wednesday, March 10.

FCMM Participant Account Values Available Online

You can now see all your account values (Options A, B, C, D, E, F, & G) on the Alliance Benefit Group Web site. If you did not recently receive a letter with instructions on how to initially access this information, contact the FCMM staff for assistance. Call (800) 995-5357 or email fcmm@efca.org.

Ministry Campaign Services

Are you asking questions like these about your ministry?

  • Are we ready for a capital campaign?
  • What is the right timing for our campaign? Do we have a vision that will effectively drive a campaign?
  • Does our congregation understand and "own" the vision along with leadership?
  • How do we effectively convey the vision God has given our ministry? How do we integrate vision into a campaign?

Ministry Campaign Services will help you:

  • Effectively articulate the vision God has given you.
  • Communicate the vision to the congregation.
  • Tie the vision to the ministry expansion project needed.
  • Measure the congregation's readiness for a campaign.
  • Determine the right financial goal and timing for the campaign.

We are here with years of experience working with hundreds of churches and ministries of all sizes to help you design the next steps forward in your ministry. Contact us at (800) 995-8574 or email steve.johnson@efca.org.

Your Students Can Help an Urban Church with Summer Outreach!

Urban Evangelical Free Churches want students to work alongside them for a week of community outreach. Churches in Los Angeles, Chicago, Baltimore, New York City and the Twin Cities still need groups to help them do Vacation Bible School, day camps, sports clinics, prayer walking, and other neighborhood outreach. Come alongside an urban church and watch as God works through you and your students transforming a neighborhood. For more information, visit http://www.efca.org/bump.

Are you one of the 70% or one of the 30%?

About 70% of Americans have no will. Of those that do, about 70% have outdated wills. Now may be a great time to sign a new or updated will. Request a Will Kit today from the EFCA Foundation and get started. For more information, contact Lanny Harris at lanny.harris@efca.org or call (800) 995-8578.
