MIDWINTER MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE
The 2010 Midwinter Ministerial Conference is being postponed. The primary basis for the decision was our inability to secure certain presenters for the announced theme of "The Gospel, Evangelism and Ministries of Compassion." The discussion would have focused our attention on Article 8 of the EFCA Statement of Faith entitled Christian Living. Another factor influencing the decision is the constraints some EFCA churches and pastors are experiencing as they prepare budgets for 2010. We know EFCA pastors and leaders have benefited from this Ministerial Association sponsored "Series of Theological Discussions" and we remain committed to providing that vital opportunity in 2011. Content of the 2009 Midwinter Ministerial on "The Transformation of God's People," another aspect of Article 8, can be read or downloaded at http://www.efca.org/midwinterministerial.

ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIPS
Many churches are exploring the concept of mid-sized groups for a small-church feel within a larger church where community can be combined with learning. Your church may be one of them. So, what is this Adult Bible Fellowship movement all about? Will it work in your church context? Find the answers to these questions in the "Introduction to Adult Bible Fellowship" EFCA EQUIP online course. Utilizing a training curriculum being used in hundreds of churches, the Intro to ABF will introduce you to the concept and its main principles. The course offers two tracks: one for training lay people in churches already committed to the model, and one for church professionals who desire to look at, evaluate, and discuss the model from a critical perspective. The next section of Intro to ABF will run September 23 - October 27. Contact equip@efca.org with any questions or register today!

HEALTHY MISSIONS PARTNERSHIPS
God's kingdom is powerfully advancing, and He is using His Church to "make disciples of all nations." Yet the task God has given the Church is still enormous! We can never accomplish this task on our own. Missions partnerships can help us be more effective and reach more people. But how do you actually carry out a partnership in a healthy way? What principles should you follow? How do you choose with whom to partner? "Healthy Missions Partnerships: Building, Launching, Sustaining" is an EFCA EQUIP online course that can help you answer these and other questions. Discover the key principles for healthy missions partnerships and how to apply them to your current or future ministry partnerships. The first section of this course will take place October 7 - November 11. Learn more or register today! Questions? Contact equip@efca.org.

IS YOUR CHURCH'S RETIREMENT PLAN COMPLIANT WITH IRS REGULATIONS?
New IRS regulations regarding all 403b plans went into effect in January 2009. From time to time, we still encounter some churches which have yet to address these important issues. Contact Associate Director of Benefits Rev. Bud Smith (bud.smith@efca.org or 952-853-1772) to learn more about how FCMM can provide assistance with these regulations while offering an excellent retirement plan option for all of your staff members. For more information about FCMM, go to http://www.efca.org/fcmm.
