GREENSBURG, KS RELIEF EFFORTS

The Midwest District of the EFCA is partnered with EFCA TouchGlobal Crisis Response to provide tornado relief, recovery to the body of Christ, and outreach and evangelism in Greensburg, KS. Our ministry focus is equipping people, mobilizing churches, and transforming communities. We are in need of individuals who have a heart for service and compassion and resources to help meet the needs of people. GodSighting follows GodSighting! On April 25, 2007 we celebrated the blessing of a very special medication donation for Elie and other hemophiliacs in Beirut, Lebanon. At that time, the prayer need was shared that God would open doors so the medication boxes could be shipped from Minneapolis to Lebanon-specifically with someone traveling to that area. After reading the GodSighting story, Pastor Tom Macy of Faith Missionary Alliance Church in Indianapolis, IN alerted Dr. Tom Cairns of ReachGlobal to a forthcoming mission's trip to Lebanon--which happens to have a medical doctor traveling as a member. When Dr. Cairns followed up this opportunity, the medical doctor just happened to be someone he knew, Dr. Phil Johnson (both doctors interned together in years past). Dr. Johnson will carry the first box of medication to Beirut... Elie's surgery will follow shortly thereafter. Praise God for His amazing plan! Please continue to pray the customs agents will allow the medicine into the country, the mission team will have no difficulty getting it to Pastor Joseph Najem in Lebanon and that Elie's surgery will be a success followed by quick healing. What wonders God works through His faithful servants!

LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE REACHGLOBAL SUMMITS

ReachGlobal will host several summits during this year's EFCA Leadership Conference, held at Grace Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 27-29. There will be six Regional Summits and one Mission Leaders Summit (Please note: The Mission Leaders Summit is for mission pastors and local church leaders only).

All of the summits will be held on Tuesday, June 26. The Mission Leaders Summit will be hosted by the ReachGlobal Executive Director. This will be a great time for mission pastors and local church leaders to network and dialogue with him.

There will be two Regional Summit sessions open to everyone. Each session will be 2 1/2 hours long and hosted by area leaders from the field. Participants will have the opportunity to attend two different Regional Summits from the following list:

  • Africa
  • China
  • Europe
  • India
  • Latin America
  • Pacific Asia

A box lunch will be provided for all participants to pick up and bring to their first Regional Summit. The schedule for the summits is:

9:00-noon: Mission Leaders Summit (mission pastors and local church leaders)
Noon: Pick up box lunch
Noon - 2:30: First summit
2:30 - 3:00: Summit break
3:00 - 5:30: Second summit (repeat)
