2007 LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE PRAYER LETTER

Theme:  We the tree...We must go through Samaria

Priority of Jesus' life of prayer
"One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.  When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles:" - Luke 6:12-13

Our Lord Jesus realized the importance in selecting those who would carry on His heart, vision and movement for the building of the Kingdom of God. He spent an entire night in prayer seeking His heavenly father's voice, confirmation and clarity for the selection of the twelve.  Upon returning from that time away in prayer, He selected the twelve and the rest is history.

As Jesus spent time away praying for those who would lead His movement, should we not also spend time praying for those who will lead our Leadership Conference? And should we not pray and ask the Spirit of God to stir in the hearts of many across our land to come to Minneapolis in June as we now invite people to begin registering for the conference?  Would you take time to pray for the additional needs of this month? Your prayers have made a powerful difference as we've seen answered prayers and details coming together. Thank you for your faithful support and prayer for this critical event in the life of the EFCA movement.  To God be the glory, great things He has done.

Fritz Dale, Prayer Director
