2007 LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE PRAYER LETTER

Theme:  We the tree...We must go through Samaria

John 5:19
"I tell you the truth, the son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he sees his father doing, because whatever the father does the son also does."

Welcome to the Leadership Conference Prayer Team!

We are delighted that you are joining people from around the country and the world in praying for the upcoming EFCA Leadership Conference this June in Minneapolis. We are excited to have you be a part of this prayer journey.  Each month, you will receive a prayer letter that will help encourage and inform you in praying for the conference.

Each letter will begin with an example of Jesus' heart for prayer, and His call for us to join Him in the practice and privilege of prayer.  In John 5:19, Jesus models for us this absolute dependence on the Father.  As we begin the journey to the Leadership Conference in June, let us practice prayerful dependence by praying for God's will and ways in all we do.

Would you specifically pray for the needs listed below and celebrate what God is doing in preparation for this significant gathering? Thank you for your faithful partnership and following the Lord in praying for the conference.

Praise:

  • We, the tree, have a wonderful worship team (Heart of the City) and speakers for the conference.
  • We, the tree, are planning lots of great equipping seminars.
  • We, the tree, have a great location for this year's conference.
  • We, the tree, will have many special events focused on celebrating what God is doing in EFCA ministries.

Prayer Requests:

  • For God to prepare speakers and worship leaders for their ministry at the conference.
  • For the Lord to capture people with the DVD promotion being sent to all EFCA churches this month.  Pray for the Spirit to stir people's hearts and schedules now as they make decisions to attend.
  • For God to empower and protect the leadership team in both their ministry and personal lives.
  • For the logistical details to be finalized with the staff at Grace Church.
  • For God's Spirit to have great freedom to work in and through the conference, resulting in healthy leaders, churches, and His glory being clearly manifested.
