Doing Their Part
South Suburban EFC in Apple Valley, MN participated in this year’s TouchGlobal VBS project (The Elikia Project—Building a Home of Hope). Each morning, the group talked about the goal of building a home for widows and orphans in Congo.
The kids really got excited. Some mothers shared how compassionate their kids were.
One mom said her five-year-old son came home after the first day and asked her for jobs to do so he could make some money to give to the widows and orphans in Congo.
One afternoon, three fifth grade girls organized a neighborhood car wash and set up a lemonade stand in their neighborhood. They made over $90 and gave it all to the project.
In total, the kids gave $831 in offering that week for The Elikia project.
