Donor Advised Funds
Donor Advised Funds are a simple and attractive charitable account for stewardship and gift planning. Reduce your paperwork and support your preferred EFCA ministries and other qualified charities through a Donor Advised Fund.
Understanding your needs:
- Interested in donating appreciated assets to various ministries and charities, but find that these organizations cannot handle the details?
- Do you want to honor the Lord’s work but find recordkeeping a hassle?
- Desire to support various ministries with non-cash assets in a one-step transaction?
- Have you ever considered an alternative to setting up your own family foundation?
- Do you need a charitable tax deduction now but wish to spread out your charitable gifts over a period of years?
The Details
An individual selling a major asset can receive a charitable deduction and bypass capital gains taxes by transferring the property into an EFCA Foundation Donor Advised Fund. The tax benefits are available this year, and the distribution decisions can span several years. Also, the administrative costs are shared among several EFCA funds, so you can be assured that the greatest amount of your gift is going directly to the ministries and charities you select.
