The EFCA understands that implementing the mission of glorifying God by multiplying healthy churches among all people is a very complex challenge for your ministry. In fact, there are very few places that you can go to get help as you develop your strategy. To help you in your journey of reconciliation, we offer some learning opportunities.

Samaritan Leadership Group

A Samaritan Leadership Group is a leadership learning community on the topic of reconciliation. The group gathers to meet for two days at a host site within your district. To participate, you must be in full-time ministry.

The purpose of the gathering is to help you lead your ministry with reconciliation in mind. During the gatherings you will:

  • Receive coaching on how to implement reconciliation within your ministry.
  • Talk about current reconciliation leadership resources
  • Analyze your ministry strategies
  • Critique and pray for ministry struggles
  • Build friendships with those in your district who share your passion for reconciliation

If you are interested in forming or joining a Samaritan Leadership Group in your district, email samaritanway@efca.org.

Good Samaritan Retreat

A Good Samaritan Retreat creates a learning space within your church for your leaders and members to engage reconciliation both theologically and practically. The retreat is usually done over the weekend and includes a leadership training experience for key ministry leaders one day and a sermon on the topic of reconciliation during the regularly scheduled worship service.

If you are interested in hosting a Good Samaritan Retreat at your church, email samaritanway@efca.org.

Prayer Team

The EFCA has taken the unprecedented step of weaving reconciliation as the mission of God in our fallen world into the DNA of our movement. Our passion is to see our churches reverse division, multiplying Kingdom growth.  When it comes to reconciliation, the first step of the church in a deeply broken world is not strategy, but prayer. If this is your passion, sign up to receive the prayer letter of Samaritan Way at samaritanway@efca.org.

Samaritan Way Consultations

A Samaritan Way Consultation is for ministry leaders who desire to have an in-depth assessment of their ministry concerning reconciliation issues. If your ministry is affiliated with the EFCA there is no cost. Dr. Sanders will consider ministries outside of the EFCA for a nominal fee.  If you desire a consultation email samaritanway@efca.org.
