Recovery Church Story (more info)

About this video:

Why a network of recovery churches?

A variety of circumstances can lead to a decision to leave the ministry for a while.  The EFCA Pastoral Care Ministries has trained a network of Recovery Churches ready to bring healing to any pastor who feels wounded in the process of serving.  Each recovery church has identified a team of caring individuals to welcome and care for the pastoral family in need of help.  The network stretches from the east to the west coast and from the upper Midwest to the southern United States.  Wherever you are and wherever you’d like to be, we have a place and a team ready to help.

Does it work?

Santa Margarita Community ChurchRobert Campbell, pastor of Santa Margarita Community Church, tells in this 5 minute audio of God’s gracious, providential moving in his life.  Past the hard times of leaving one church, to healing in an EFCA Recovery Church and being lead full circle to lead a new, loving EFCA community church.

God has used this ministry for 20 years.  More than 120 stories of recovery could be shared.  You may have heard one of them directly from the family who was helped.  We allow them to tell their story when and to whom they wish.  Most would echo the promise of James 4:11, "God cares, cares right down to the last detail."
