EFCA churches are "believers’ churches," which means one must be a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ in order to become a member. Being autonomous under the Lord Christ, membership is determined at the local church level. EFCA churches are both inclusive, i.e. all believers, and exclusive, i.e. believers only. Find a local EFCA church.

EFCA Ministerial credentialing



Those in vocational ministry are encouraged to be credentialed. The EFCA process is spelled out in Steps Toward Credentialing and is administrated by the district.



EFCA Pastoral positions



Are you a pastor seeking an open position? A church board member looking for a pastor? A senior pastor looking for staff? EFCA Pastoral Care Ministries partners with MinisterConnection, a ministry which matches candidates and churches seeking God’s direction in placement opportunities. MinisterConnection allows a candidate and a church to create a matching profile to assist candidates and churches in the initial stages of the placement process.



Becoming an EFCA Chaplain



Chaplains in the EFCA are passionate about living and sharing the Gospel in unique and often overlooked places in our society. Whether it’s in a military setting, sports arena, university campus, hospital ward, local jail, federal prison, squad car, or even a campground, chaplains can be found sharing the love of Christ. As a group of autonomous and interdependent churches, the actual process for a church to join the EFCA occurs through the district. If your church wishes to associate itself with the EFCA, we would invite you to contact the appropriate district office and inquire there.
