Reach Columbus Offiering Project
The EFCA Leadership Conference offering project will benefit Reach Columbus, the EFCA church planting effort in Columbus, OH.
Reach Columbus is a joint project among EFCA Start Churches, ReachStudents, the Great Lakes District and the Alleghany District. Two new church plants are being launched: The Lumen Foundation exists to help plant Gospel-centered, missional churches…starting in Columbus and reaching many other strategic cities and towns of Ohio; and the Scarlet City Project - a campaign for starting a new Gospel centered and mission focused church in the spring of 2011. Both churches are united in a mission to plant daughter churches in their first 2 years of ministry.
During the EFCA Leadership Conference, the church planters were introduced and attendees prayed for their ministry and that lives of many in Columbus would be changed by these new churches.
From June 28-July 3, close to 5,000 students will gather in Columbus for the Challenge 2010 “Undo” conference. Student s will participate in prayer walks, evangelism projects, and acts of kindness in the communities where the churches will be launched. Challenge offerings will also support these churches.
Pray for these church plants and for the Challenge conference efforts in helping the churches get started.
Give online. If you would like to support the Reach Columbus effort, it is not too late to give to the offering project. Donate online and enter “Columbus church planting project” in the designation line.
